Finland Appoints Third Female PM
Finland has just anointed Sanna Marin as its third female prime minister. It is truly surprising that all five parties in Finland's government coalition are headed by women. I am really envious of the Nordic countries for their advancement in terms of gender equality in their governments (how did they do it?). It would also be interesting to see what this strong female presence in the Finnish government would bring for the country.

When I saw this on Axios and NYT I was flabbergasted. I think the youth of all of the senior members in Finnish parliament is almost as interesting as the amount of women. It begs the question, as Finland is a world leader in many education alongside many other important fields, are there direct policy consequences through promoting female leadership?
