This article, How the center can reclaim feminism, was published in the Washington Post back in November, but I thought it might interest people in this class. It talks about the bipartisan history of women's rights in the US. Then it explains who Schafly helped bring down the ERA and attributes this to polarization on the topic of feminism. The author concludes saying, "Partisans exaggerate our differences, but the rest of us needn’t. The nation’s balance point is in the center, where feminism began."
I'm curious if everyone thinks that feminism began in the center after taking this class?
